Het is 1985, ik studeer in Wageningen en ben helemaal wild van de Simple Minds en ze komen in Rotterdam!! Dus de vriendenkring door en mensen verzamelen die mee willen en natuurlijk aan kaartjes zien te komen. Niets internet… gewoon vroeg op en voor de deur van de kaartverkoop gaan liggen. En dat deed ik. Als eerste, heel vroeg voor de deur van de VVV. EN toen die deur open ging was het voor het meisje daar een zaak van bellen naar de centrale om daar de kaarten voor ons te bestellen. Nou.. 9 uur ging de kaartverkoop los, en om 12 uur hadden we nog geen verbinding. En eindelijk.. contact en kon ik de laatste kaarten bestellen.. echt zowat de allerlaatste. Maar we waren erbij!! Geweldig concert. En nog steeds vind ik de muziek van de Simple Minds geweldig en zou ik zo weer naar een optreden van ze willen. Maar dit is echt een heerlijk nummer… gisteren nog gehoord op de fiets… vandaag weer op de radio
